I was interested in getting a beagle and I know they are hunting dogs and sometimes wander and howl a lot. But is it true w/ all of these breeds or just with a select few? Is it possible to train them not to “howl”? I’ve read a bit about them but they make this dog breed seem like it barks and howls all the time and that if let it off the leash will run away. True or not?

this is the first time i`ve had a beagle thats gonna have pupppies she was bred on the 13th of feb.

We adopted a beagle about 2 months ago, she’s about 7 months now…having hard time potty training…SCARED TO DEATH of gunshots and fireworks (if anyone knows how to take care of that properly)…any other general info you can give will be much appreciative! Thanks!
