hi, i have an 11 year old beagle. ive had her since she was 7 weeks old.

she is a tri color and 13″.

anyways…. i was lookng for a new beagle to bring into our family, and as i was looking, i saw 15″ beagles.

what does the inches mean.
height? length?
width?

What to do about sick puppy when you cant afford the Vet?

My Puggle puppy is 12 weeks old and has just started with green diarrhea and bright red blood spots in the stool. I am worried but cant afford the vet right now. She is all set on shots right now.Any advice what the puppy may have or what to do would be greatly appreciated. I live iin Nassau county NY.
I bought the puppy for my daughter so she has a friend. We just moved out of state and put a hefty deposit on a house. I will have my paycheck on Friday but 12 Vets including the SPCA said they will not do anything without money in hand. I even offered to write a check and it would clear Friday and they said no. I bought her a puppy from my heart to give her a companion in this difficult time and I am insulted by the answers I get from people on this. Has nobody in this forum ever had financial difficulty. I would prefer if you cant help keep your hurtful comments to yourself.

Well i adopted two puppy’s. My older dog is very upset that their there so he wants them no where near him so every time they come near him he growls. One of the puppy’s got it quick the other one doesn’t seem to care. She will get growled at and then growl back at my older dog which then is replied to with a dirty look. Im trying to figure out what to do before my dog gets upset and deals with her another way.

i have a beagle puppy that ways 7 lbs and a schizu/ Chihuahua about 10 lbs and they ate a pack of “final” rat poison that was .88 oz they ate it sometime early this morning and they are running around playing should i take them to the vet is this enough to kill them?

I have a 6 month old beagle I got 3 weeks ago. right after we adopted him from a shelter, we took him to the vet for a general health check. he weighed 22 pounds at the time and I’m wondering if this is normal for his age.

I have a 1yr old Beagle and I am thinking about bringing another puppy into the pic. is that a good idea??

My beagle loves other dogs and works really well with other animals, but I am afraid that she might not know what to do with a little puppy. The puppy i am looking into getting is a 8wk old lab mix. Any suggestions?

ANOTHER question about my 10 wk. beagle puppy…

We got him about a week ago and we were told that he would most likely initially have “loose stool” and that this problem would pass within a couple days. After two days it seemed like it was firming up a bit but apparently it wasn’t… Even now, a week into it, his stool varies between really runny and a texture best described as “soft serve”. (Ewwww sick, I know and I’m sorry! I warned you!)

Is this normal for puppies? Do they not have firmer stools until they are older?

We are going to see the vet this weekend for another round of immunizations and I’ll bring it up to him – but all this runny poo is really baffling me. He eats dry puppy food so shouldn’t they be harder?

Note: He eats well and has plenty of energy, drinks plenty of water, sleeps plenty… seems like a normal puppy. Just the poo thing seems weird to me…

My dog chews on every sago palm tree in our yard – no other plants. Is there something about them?

Our dog seems attracted to destroy our sago palms. She chews the frawns and then the new growth as it comes out. Is there a scent or taste that is known to attract dogs.
