About a week ago, my fiance had a sweet female Pit Bull puppy follow him home. She was very malnourished and just started eating…A LOT! She is a very sweet dog so far and we think she’ll be a great dog. She can’t be more than 6 months to a year old. Well, now a friend of his wants to give us his 1 year old female Beagle puppy. I want my Pit Bull to have a friend because I don’t want her tearing up our backyard when she gets bored, but I’m not sure if the two breeds will get along. I don’t want the Pit to become too aggressive and kill the Beagle. Would this pairing be a good idea?

My beagle loves other dogs and works really well with other animals, but I am afraid that she might not know what to do with a little puppy. The puppy i am looking into getting is a 8wk old lab mix. Any suggestions?
