Yes, what would you like to know?
Lots. The ups and the downs. Grooming, basic care. Temperament, energy levels. And more. What do you need to know?
My neighbors has 2 and they are the loudest dogs I have ever heard…..I hear they are all loud…………bark all the time
I have never seen a calm beagle. They are one of the most loving dogs I’ve ever met though.
Beagles are scent hound, they are difficult dogs and are not suitable for 1time owners, they need 4km walk&need to spend time with there owner, if let alone outside they will bark&howl&dig. they need firm handling&loads of training,. they must not be let off lead as they chase anything insight

Make sure you choose a breed suited to your lifestyle, don’t make your choose on the cute factor, fluffy factor, breed alone or colour.don’t buy from a petstore.

not a good breed of dogs
much rather get another breed
or a mix would be best
because mixed breeds tend to not get pedigree line diseases
they are a good family pet but can be a little stubborn and possibly aggressive with other dogs.they love to hunt and will go on and on if they get a scent of something. their fur is like a rain coat it kinda absorbs the rain but they can get cold if out for long times.2 little strays were dropped off at my home a few years ago the mom and daughter i found a home for the pup but the older one was very aggressive with my other large female dogs that they attacked her and unfortunately i had to have her put down. i know people who have raised them from pups and they are a very loveable family dog when trained properly.
The are very friendly, very hyper, subborn, excitable dogs. They can be very vocal, love to bark. (they don’t really bay its more like yelping) They are escape artists and can get bored very easily and tend to climb, dig, find a way out of their yards. We have a female that is all of the above but luckily we have 2 other dogs who keep her occupied and has only escaped into neighbors yards twice in 2 1/2 years we’ve had her.
Quite a bit.
They are cute, loving, loyal dogs.
They are also noisy, difficult to train, extremely stubborn….
My brother got one on a whim – poor thing had been in 3 homes in his first 4 months of life – and then and he dumped it off on me because he could NOT housetrain the poor dog….the dog wanted to be outside ALL the time, and he was usually digging in the mud or barking when he was out there. He was a complete NUTCASE in the house, jumping on everything, running – always GOING GOING GOING. He wore my other dogs out when he stayed with us.
Eventually my brother found a new home for the dog; gave him to a family with a large fenced yard and a couple of boys to run his energy off. They loved him, but they were also experienced dog owners, and had another dog already. He realizes now that they aren’t the best family dog, and they are definitely not a dog for first-time (inexperienced) dog owners.
That said, I sometimes wished I could have kept him, because he was a sweet little dog, adorable, playful – followed me around like a shadow, and while he was stubborn, he was also pretty intelligent and learned quickly. I would have liked to keep him, but I already had 3 dogs, and one was a show puppy – I was trying to grow show coat on my puppy, and couldn’t handle the two puppies constantly chewing on one another.
they need at least two hours of playtime a day for the busy owners. otherwise theyre highly aative, jumpers, whiners, learns fast if you have atience, and runs wild if catches a scent.
if not left alone, theyre pretty calm when trained, and easily excitable.
i could continue but most have stated the facts. i like the link i’ve included.
