It generally is a bad idea to get two puppies, most good breeders wouldn’t consider it.
NO good breeder sells dogs for Christmas. It is a stressful time, most would hold the dog until after the holidays.
ADD: Doesn’t change the fact that only a bad breeder would be selling you those dogs.
You’re serious? Not only is getting 2 puppies at once a bad idea, but gifting animals is why so many of them die in the shelter. If she wants to add to her family, she needs to be the one making the decisions, not you.
There are 2 HUGE Red Flags in your question:
1 – 2 pups going to the same home. No Reputable, Responsible breeder will sell 2 pups to the same home unless they know that person well and know they are equipped to socialize and train them separately.
2 – No Reputable Responsible breeder would EVER consider sending pups home on Christmas Day.
With that being said, Call one “Backyard” and the other “Breeder”
cute puppies, but terrible idea to get two along with the ones you already have. Just b/c she loves something doesn’t mean that she can care for them….beagles are a loud and stubborn breed that need lots of attention and training. I would think twice…..
If they’re going to be her dogs, then she should name them. BUT, I’m having a hard time believing your story. Most breeders will not sell two puppies to the same home unless they’re very familiar with the potential owners and know them to be capable. Plus, you already have two other dogs. That’s a lot of responsibility and you sound very young. Also, most breeders won’t sell puppies around Christmas time. There’s too much excitement and chaos at that time of the year. Lastly, you have to call the breeder with the new names so she can get them used them??? This story sounds a little contrived.
