Put an ad in your local news paper. Look online for people interested in that breed of dog.
I’d say any responsible breeder would take their puppy back, so contact them, but from the “1 year health guarantee” and “CKC” registration (Continental Kennel Club, I presume), I can guess that you probably bought her from a pet store.
Place a classified ad — it’s up to you to screen the homes properly and ensure she goes to the best. It’s the least you can do, right?
You can sell her “quickly”, recoup your money, and get her into a good home. Keep in mind that you’ll probably only get 2 out of 3.
If your puppy came from a breeder that’s at all reputable, the dog should be going back to the breeder. No decent breeder will tolerate their puppy being sold to someone without their approval or knowledge. Contact the breeder.
If it’s from a backyard breeder who couldn’t care less what happens to the dog, try contacting a bichon rescue group. They’ll make sure this puppy gets a good home.
maybe you could give her back to the breeder for a refund. The breeder could then find her a good home! Too bad about your puppy though.
Put an ad in the paper and post it somewhere on the net.
See if the breeder will take back the puppy or knows another family that would like that puppy. Post an add in newspaper, but be very careful when selecting, remember to go with your gut instincts on the new family.
If the breeder won’t take it back, call you vet and see if they know of anyone looking for a puppy.
