shelter or rescue is the best place to look for that price range http://www.petfinder.com
ADOPTION OPTION
from ur local shelter or http://adoptions.bestfriends.org/
or if u get from breeder make sure the parents are in good conditions
oh and DONT buy from a pet shop that just contributes 2 puppy mills which are disgusting places
well hope i helped
I own a beagle we got in Santa Clara. We got her for about $200. He was on Craig’s List. You might want to look there.
YOU DON’T Want to buy a cheap dog, those come from backyard breeders who do not care about the breed, or the health of what they produce.
Save your money and buy a Beagle from a reputable breeder. Someone who is breeding correct, quality dogs, and has done all the appropriate health tests.
So many rescues are bogus and are really in the business of selling dogs. I would stay far away from othem.
(They have shelter workers on the take to save the most adoptable/saleable dogs for their rescue)
I’d recommend the animal shelters. It’ll save you money, help a needy dog. and you get a few more variants when looking for puppies.(ie mostly beagle hybrids)
Go to a dog show. Meet lots of Beagle breeders. Talk to them. See what they have available, now and in future litters. You may very well get a really good pup for less than you expect. Sometimes an older pup needs a home after the first one didn’t work out (allergies, owner died, moved to no pets place, etc) or sometimes people just change their minds and a pup unexpectedly becomes available that was supposed to be sold. Sometimes the more costly pup is worth waiting and saving up for, too!
