ours got more white/grey hair i think as it aged.
Most dogs lose some of the pigment in their fur as they age, just like people get gray hair. As far as actually changing the pattern of the coloring, I don’t think so, unless its a puppy and then you might see some changes as it becomes an adult.
I was brought up with beagles all my “childhood” life. Their names were “Trumpet”, and “Mixie”…..just thought you’d enjoy the names. lol!
They both had the multi-color (all three).
As they aged, their fir lost some of the sharpness, just as humans lose the “color” in their skin wish age….pigment.
The 3 colors just sort of “faded” a bit with age. It wasn’t as deep and sharp in color.
Our beagle (now aged) has faded light brown fur with a pale white.
so yes
they do loose their fur color as they age.
help me?

From Puppy to adult the shade of the tan may change a bit, but otherwise, no, if they have a large amount of black, they will keep it.
I did have one that went from very red to a strawberry blonde to a faded out strawberry mixed with white as she advanced through puppyhood to old age.
Definitely. Beagles have a really deep brown when they are young, and as they grow up, the brown gets lighter. When they get to be old, their faces turn really white. It is so strange comparing the colors to an old photo. My 12 year old beagle has whitish fur all over his face that used to be brown.
