My dad has a new beagle puppy she is now three months old. She eats sticks and also I guess a dead little bird?

   If she is actually eating these things rather than just chewing them or messing with them, you may have a malnutrition problem on your hands. Dogs who eat their own feces (I know, its gross!) tend to do so because they are not getting enough protein or fiber in their diet and they are instinctually drawn to replace it by eating other things. Try putting meat into the puppies diet (like mixing ground pork or turkey into his kibble). If he continues to eat sticks and other unmentionables, you may have a psyche case on your hands. It sounds hokey, but dogs can be mentally messed up just like people. I had a dog that stick its nose in its water dish and inhale. Serious! He almost drowned himself several times. good luck.
