How many hours do puppies sleep a day?

I just got a new puppy (Beagle) and he is eight weeks old. I am not worried or anything, I just want to know how many hours per day they should be sleeping? Thanks (:
p.s. he is sleeping about 12 hours during the day.
That’s typical. They eat and sleep and poop and grow.
that is normal they should only have about 15 min to 1/2 hour of play every 2 hours
just let him go potty first
Puppies are just like human babies, they need a lot of sleep.
