The puppy is show born in an ambiotic sac common to all dog births. It is common for all mothers to eat the sac because in the wild she has to hide the smell from possible predators. She gave birth on the floor in a shallow box containing comfortable green outdoor cushions. We put adjustable colored collars on them to make it easier to identify them.
