My dog just had four puppies and they have just recently gotten a few fleas, want to know what to do to get rid of the fleas.
ask the vet
I would say use Front Line, but I don’t know if you should use it on htem so young. I would ask a local vet.
You need to talk to your vet. There are no medications you can buy over the counter that approved for use in dogs this young. But it is very important that the fleas are taken care of as they can very quickly suck a puppy dry.
You cannot use Frontline on puppies that small – the best thing to do would be to get a flea attractant light, that plugs in near the whelping box.

Speak to your vet, but it may be safe to bathe the mother in Dawn dish detergent, but you MUST rinse her completely, so as not to have the puppies get any soap when they crawl over her or nurse, or it could kill them.
You can catch the fleas with duct tape rolled backwards around yoru hand, so the sticky part is outward… just don’t use any chemicals or flea powder, or flea collars around the puppies!!!!
Ask your vet as it can be dangerous to use frontline on puppies so young.
