My beagle is suddenly really sad and walking around the house with her tail between her legs. What do I do?

She has always been a very happy and playful dog. We can’t figure out what’s bothering her. She just lays around all day now and when she does move she has her tail tucked between her legs and walks around like she’s in trouble or something. She’s still eating and drinking and will go outside to go to the bathroom, but instantly wants to go back in. What is wrong with our dog? =(
Sounds like maybe something hurts. Check her all over for any wounds, swellings, or any other abnormalities. If she cries when you touch her anywhere specific, she needs to see the vet.
She could be sick or in pain. If I were you, I would give my vet a call.
She may have suffered an injury. You should take her to the vet to be checked over.
Good luck.
She’s probably sick take her to the Vet…
Dogs respond different to pain then we do.
If something hurts she wont be moving around like normal and will seem sad.
For a dog to cry out with pain it has to be extreme.
Sometimes they will seek out isolation and when bothered to much they will even snap at you.
You should call your vet and ask for an appointment. You can always cancel if she seems better but I would have a vet check her out. Just because she cant tell you if there is something wrong with her.
You know your dog best and you will be the first to notice changes in behavior.
